Gitorious' main website states "System notice: Gitorious is being acquired by GitLab and
gitorious.org will shut down end of May. Please import your repositories to GitLab.com - Read about
it". While I always liked GitHub's interface over BitBucket, I couldn't help but notice that
Gitorious used to host some of the largest directories for popular projects.
Interestingly, this announcement comes just days after the announcement of Google Code's shut down.
What's going on these days?
